A Pill to Control Laughing and Weeping Receives FDA Approved

Patients suffering from pseudobulbar affect (PBA) can finally find some relief from the uncontrollable emotional outbursts they experience. The FDA approved Avanir’s drug, Neudexta, for the treatment for PBA, a condition that afflicts nearly half of ALS patients. The drug is expected to hit the market in early 2011.
